IPH group has launched its inaugural intellectual property podcast series, From Idea to Intellectual Property.
Hosted by ABC Radio’s Lisa Leong, a former IP, Technology and Wine lawyer, the series explores current global IP trends, the intellectual property considerations behind them, and what those trends suggest we can expect from future innovation. Lisa will be joined by IP specialists from across the IPH group who work with inventors and innovators and have first-hand insight into what’s involved in turning an idea into a commercial reality.
Coinciding with the start of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, the first episode features IPH Strategic Advisor and former Director of the World Intellectual Property Organisation, Dr Francis Gurry, who discusses the role of IP in the monetisation of sport. Subsequent episodes, which will drop fortnightly and can be listened to via the IPH website, will cover synthetic biology, cleantech, femtech, the metaverse and plant variety rights.
